These series’ of paintings began with visually dissecting different botanical structures, adapting them to infer a more intimate, possibly bodily, reference. ‘Into the Fold’ series combines some actual body references with the grasped hand of ‘Crease’. My intention here is to hint at inner depths, physically and emotionally, and create real connection through the vulnerability of opening-up and potentially allowing you to see into those depths. These collections encapsulate the sensuousness of the tiniest of details and the strong bonds created through revealing your truth to another.
